north&nova is a Canadian company founded in Ottawa by Roma, a mom and physical therapist with a passion for home design and decor. When her son, Nova, started crawling, she started looking for ways to encourage his gross motor development through play. As a mom without a separate designated play space in her home at the time, she wanted to find pieces that would blend in with her home decor style -something she wouldn't feel the need to tuck away every time she had company over. Unable to satisfy this craving with the existing options available in Canada, she decided to create her own brand.
